PNW Climate Week is the first cross-region climate week in North America, connecting communities across state and national lines in Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia.

Climate change does not stop at city limits, state lines, or national borders, so our climate solutions shouldn’t either. The Pacific Northwest is deeply connected by water, forests, food, economies, infrastructure, people, and history, sharing both climate risks and climate opportunity. From urban neighborhoods to rural communities, from mountains to coastlines, what happens in one part of this region shapes the future of the whole.

This region is already advancing climate solutions through innovation, policy, stewardship, and community action. It also understands the importance of connection between people and nature, economic strength and environmental responsibility, and local action and broader impact.

PNW Climate Week brings that leadership into focus across borders and sectors. This is not just a week of events. It is a platform for ongoing collaboration, innovation, and climate action throughout the year. It exists to help convene the people, ideas, jobs, and partnerships needed to accelerate climate solutions across the region.

Our mission is to help transition the Pacific Northwest into an equitable, climate-positive bioregion, one that gives back more than it takes.

We envision a region where communities and ecosystems thrive in harmony - through greater affordability, resilience, and a prosperous green economy.

Why it matters

Climate change affects us at every level: as individuals, as communities, as a region, and as part of a global system. That means climate action must happen at every level, too.
